St Martha Parish Council is marking 400 years of the Chilworth Gunpowder Mills with an Open Day on Saturday 5 September 2026. Everyone is welcome and all the walks are free.

Schedule of events

10.00 – Guided tree walk, led by the St Martha & Merrow Tree Wardens
11.30 – Guided walk around the Mills (1 hour)
14.30 – Guided walk around the Mills (1 hour)

Please meet at the West Lodge entrance, Blacksmith Lane, Chilworth.
