Lockner Farm Update from Developer
2 May 2026
Good morning,
I am the developer who has built the two houses at Lockner Farm and has recently been given permission to develop the stable block on the field opposite.
During the build of the two houses, we have strived to keep any disruption to the neighbours to a minimum and are on friendly terms with the dog walkers and cyclists who use the bridleway.
We recently boarded the stables up to prevent birds from nesting there as we are due to demolish the stables in the next few months.
This seems to have caused a lot of concern which was the last thing we wanted to do. Please see attached a site notice that I have put along the site explaining why we did this and what actions we are taking.
I have enjoyed the wildlife whilst working there and would never consider disturbing nesting birds.
To mitigate this we will be erecting bird boxes around the locality to encourage the birds (especially the swallows) to return.
I expect that you may have been contacted by concerned neighbours so I thought that I would explain our actions to you directly.
If you have any questions, please do get in touch.
Best wishes
